Rental Terms and ConditionsSorry about the small print!! We have tried to make it as short as possible, but this was as far as we could go. * Rentals run from 4pm on the first Saturday to 11am on the last Saturday of the rental period. * A non-refundable deposit of 15% of the total cost is payable at the time of booking. Telephone or e-mail bookings will be held for 7 days to allow for time for the receipt of the initial deposit. * Guests must pay the balance of the total cost no later than 12 weeks before the start of the rental period. Late payment of the balance may result in the cancellation of the booking and the loss of the 15% deposit. * Bookings made within 12 weeks of the start of the rental period must be paid in full within 7 days of the booking being made. * Payments can be made either in Euro or UK£ equivalent by cheque (payable to Nigel Phillips) or by bank transfer (please contact us for details). * A security deposit of 200 Euro is payable on arrival to be held against any damages. The deposit is returnable at the end of the rental period, less any deductions for any damage/loss caused by the renter or any member of their party. Guests agree to pay in full any amount for damage/loss in excess of the security deposit. * Every effort has been made to ensure that the description of the accommodation and facilities are accurate. However, we cannot accept any liability for any changes beyond our control. * The number of guests staying in the property must not exceed the number specified at the time of booking unless agreed with us in writing before the start of the rental period. We retain the right to cancel the booking, if the number of guests exceeds this agreement. * Rental charges are inclusive of water, gas and electricity. * We have made every effort to ensure that the property is in a clean and tidy condition for your arrival. We therefore ask that our guests leave the property in the same condition. We reserve the right to charge for the cost of major cleaning work required and to deduct the amount from the security deposit. * The use of the property and its amenities is entirely at the guests risk. * Our swimming pool complies with French safety regulations. However, swimming pools present potential risks to all, especially children. The use of the swimming pool is entirely the responsibility of our guests. We cannot be held responsible for accidents occurring in connection with the pool except where directly caused by our own negligence. Guests must take all precautions necessary to ensure that minors are supervised at all times when in the vicinity of the pool. * The rental charge includes all bed linen, hand and bath towels but does not include towels used for swimming. * Bookings are made on the understanding that the property is available for the period specified. If due to circumstances beyond our control the property is not available then we will make a full refund of all monies paid and there will be no further claim against us. * In the event of the booking being cancelled by us due to force majeure or other circumstances beyond our control we cannot be accept liability. * No refund will be given for any unused period of the rental agreement. * In the event of cancellation by you a charge will be made as follows: - More than 12 weeks before the holiday, 25% of the total holiday cost - 8-12 weeks before the holiday, 50% of the total holiday cost - less than 8 weeks before the holiday, 100% of the total holiday cost. * If we are able to re-hire the accommodation then a full refund of the monies paid will be made. * Changes to a booking may sometimes be possible, the rental charge will be amended to that which is applicable for the new dates. * We strongly recommend that guest take out full holiday insurance at the time of making their booking. * We hope you have a fantastic holiday at la Geneste and can assure you that we will do everything we can to make this happen. * Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding these terms and conditions.
